Dr. Joseph Bajtner

Dr. Bajtner grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. He went to Ida Crown Jewish Academy for high school, Yeshiva University for college, University of Maryland School of Dentistry for dental school, and the University of Chicago for his General Practice Residency.

Dr. Bajtner’s passion for dentistry began when he was a freshman in high school. While playing hockey, he got hit in the mouth with a high stick. It was at that point that he realized the self-confidence that comes along with a smile.

A handful of sleepless nights from the pain, three root canals, retainers, braces for a second and third time, and four porcelain veneers later he finally had his smile back. Through the process of getting his teeth fixed, he fell in love with the profession and made himself a promise that he would try and repair not only people’s smiles but their self-confidence as well.

Due to his personal experience, Dr. Bajtner learned to be more empathetic and understanding of dental pain and the anxiety that comes with going to the dentist. Dr. Bajtner will always do his best to listen to his patient’s fears and concerns, and will work with them to achieve their dental goals.

When Dr. Bajtner isn’t working he has always had a love of sports and fitness. He started playing hockey when he was three years old. In high school, he played soccer, basketball, and wrestled. In college, he was an all-conference all-academic setter for his volleyball team. These days you’re more likely to find him on a golf course or playing softball.
